About our Firm
Background
Since 1988 Charles J Mangini, CPA has been providing quality
personalized accounting and tax preparation services for local
individuals and small businesses. Charles J Mangini CPA’s expertise
ranges from accounting, payroll services, and tax preparation to
budgets, planning and forecasting.
Our
Mission
Our
mission is to help our small business clients maintain financial
viability by making available to them the services of an in house
comptroller dedicated to helping them manage the multiple tasks of
financial and tax responsibilities.
Our
Team
Charles J Mangini
Charles J Mangini began his accounting career in 1961, with the
accounting firm of Maurice Jaffee & Associates, a Worcester accounting
firm while attending night school at Nichols College. After
graduating with honors from Nichols he gained valuable experience
while associated with Bernard N Mintz CPA. He took a turn at the
private sector, as controller of Quality Sea Foods, Inc and also as a
temporary controller for Polar Beverages, a well-known Worcester soft
drink bottling company.
He
returned to public accounting in 1988 to start his own practice.
Charles is a member of NATP (the National Association of Tax
Preparers), a Quickbooks proadvisor and a frequent participant in the
UMass Tax School programs.

Lisa
Mangini
Lisa
joined the firm on a full time basis in 2002 as a bookkeeper. She has
an Associates degree from Quinsigamond Community College. She is head
of our payroll processing department, as well as the “wearer of many
hats” as is usual in a small accounting office. She is proficient in
Quickbooks and is affectionately labeled our “bank rec. queen”, that
is, there is no bank account she can’t reconcile.

Margaret Lajoie
Margaret joined our firm in 2006 as an intern from the Clark University internship program
and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree at Clark. She was a
little reluctant at first to jump into the foray of public accounting
but has recently informed us of her decision to go for the CPA title.
She also wears the many hats required to function in a small CPA
office.
